Resiliency in Nursing School

The emotional toll from the pandemic has impacted our patients from a clinical setting in ways that a textbook cannot describe. The gap from nursing school and clinical experience is stemmed from the emotional toll/psychosocial toll that occurs. As much as we are clinically equipped with the knowledge to bring the best care, it is important to be aware and navigate through the emotional challenges that someone faces that we, as nursing students, can solve their challenge but make it more bearable for the patient to endure.

Hi Kash:

Thanks for joining our conversation. How has nursing school helped you be prepared for the emotion/psychosocial toll? Is there more that could/should be done to help you navigate those emotional challenges?
