Resilience as a Nursing Student

The most useful strategies that have helped me during nursing school during the pandemic is practicing flexibility and determination. Adjusting to a completely online learning experience allowed me to develop focus and resolve to succeed in an environment that I was not use to. I expect they will help me as a nurse since flexibility will help me handle new everyday challenges and determination will allow me to maintain standards of practice and quality of care. The most valuable practice method would be to practice at any opportunity possible. Before in-person clinicals this semester, practicing constantly on friends and family has helped me the most when applying nursing interventions to real patients. In my clinicals I now try to observe and practice as many skills as I can to continue to build knowledge and confidence.

Hi Emily:

Thanks for joining our conversation and sharing your experience. How did your nursing professors, classes and fellow students help you be more resident? What there something more that would have helped you?
