It’s funny that as a child we have soo much resilience but as we grow up we lose a lot of that resilience. Maybe it’s all the chaotic events in our lives that we forget to stop and smell the roses. As adults we need to take a step back and remember that there are many things we should be thankful and grateful for. Especially when the pandemic hit, I realize how important self care is. I think this is important as a nurse because when you feel stressed, you should take a breather and take care of yourself so that you can deliver quality care for others. Remember to do the activities you enjoy because it will give you a nice break mentally and physically. That way you can bounce back and be ready for what life throws at you.
