New Nurse

I was at the end of my nursing school journey when the pandemic started and I think what helped me when I actually got into the work field was the tips we learned on how to cope with stress and the unknown of the crisis. I leaned in friends and family a lot during those times but there was definitely several gaps from what we learned to the real world. For example, it was a difficult time for everyone so everything was a bit uncertain and scary at first since upper management was also scrambling to figure out how to navigate through the crisis.

Hi Ellen:

Thanks for joining our conversation. What tips for managing stress helped you the most? Is there something more the school could have done to prepare you for the stresses of nursing?
